Transit Map ("the App") is developed and operated by an independent developer. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

1. Data We Collect

The App is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data:

• No personal information — We do not require registration, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
• No location data — The App does not request or access your device location.
• No analytics or telemetry — We do not use analytics services to track your behavior within the App.
• Local preferences — Your selected city and downloaded offline data are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

2. Transit Data Requests

When you select a city, the App may fetch transit route and station data from our API server. These requests contain only the city identifier and do not include any personally identifiable information.

3. Advertising

The App displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Before showing personalized ads, the App requests your consent through:

• Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — a consent dialog that lets you choose your ad preferences.
• App Tracking Transparency (ATT) — Apple's system prompt that lets you allow or deny cross-app tracking.

If you do not consent, non-personalized ads may still be shown. Google's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob — for advertising. See Google Privacy Policy.
• OpenStreetMap / Overpass API — for transit data queries. See OSM Privacy Policy.
• OpenFreeMap — for map tile rendering.

5. Data Storage

All app data (cached transit feeds, downloaded offline map tiles, and preferences) is stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time by deleting the App.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
