Summary: Roamly stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. We have no analytics, no tracking, and no ads.

1. Data Collection

Roamly does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information.
We do not collect location data or GPS coordinates.
We do not collect device identifiers or usage analytics.
We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking tools.
We do not display advertisements.

2. Data Storage

All data you enter into Roamly (visited countries, cities, heritage sites, ratings, memos) is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data:

Never leaves your device through the app.
Is included in your iCloud backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device (managed by Apple, not by us).
Is deleted when you uninstall the app.

3. Photo Access

Roamly may request access to your photo library to display geotagged photos associated with countries you've visited. This access is:

Entirely optional and requires your explicit permission.
Read-only - Roamly never modifies, copies, or uploads your photos.
Processed locally on your device only.

4. Network Usage

Roamly is designed as an offline-first application. The app does not make any network requests. All geographical data (countries, cities, heritage sites, map boundaries) is bundled within the app and does not require an internet connection.

5. Third-Party Services

Roamly uses the following open-source components:

MapLibre - for rendering the interactive map. Map tiles may be loaded from MapLibre's default tile server when the map is displayed. Please refer to MapLibre's privacy policy for details on tile server data handling.

No other third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms are used.

6. Children's Privacy

Roamly does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
